Ana sayfa / News

In recent months, leaks on the iCloud side have caused many users to suffer. After the vulnerability was discovered, deleted data resurfaced, leading to unwanted tensions among users. Today, Apple released a sudden security update, bringing the iCloud issue back into the spotlight. But is iCloud really secure?

With the iOS 16.2 update, Apple introduced the Advanced Data Protection feature. This feature provides end-to-end encryption for almost all iCloud functionalities, ensuring security for Apple’s cloud services. However, it appears that an unexpected and serious vulnerability occurred with the iOS 17.6 update.

While the exact nature of the discovered vulnerability has not been officially disclosed, the update notes only stated:

“This update includes important bug fixes and resolves an issue that prevents the activation or deactivation of Advanced Data Protection.”

What Changed in iOS 18 Beta 5? Here Are All the New Features

Apple released the iOS 18 Beta 5 update today, introducing some notable changes in the Photos app and a new version of Safari.

In addition to the iOS 17.6.1 update, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 and macOS Ventura 13.6.9 updates were also released with the same fix. It’s unclear if any other security issues were addressed, as Apple only mentions the Advanced Data Protection issue.

If you are using an iPhone with iOS 17.6, or a Mac or iPad with the same version, it is recommended that you update your devices immediately. The iOS 18 update from Apple is expected to be announced right after the iPhone 16 series. What are your thoughts on this issue? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments.
